HAIR TODAY GONE TOMORROW
What do you do when you first notice you're losing your hair? I know what you're thinking. Go and
get a treatment, right? Well, you'd probably be surprised at how many people will first tell themselves that all is
OK and leave it to see if things improve. You know as well as I do that things won't improve unless you're lucky
enough to catch a rare mircale. So, what's the next thing you do?
The majority of people will come to the conclusion that something's not right and will finally
decide to take action and do something about it. Here comes the research.
Some won't bother with research and just pass GO, collect their $200, and sign up for the first
treatment they happen by. Is this the best thing to do? Absolutley not. There are a lot of things you have to take
into consideration:
1. How long have you been suffering from hair loss?
2. How much hair have you lost?
3. How much are you willing to spend on a hair loss treatment?
4. Are you willing to wait for a result or do you want a quick result?
These questions seem obvious but you'd be surprised how much they're ignored. It's not as
simple as walking into a clinic ans signing the dotted line. Depending on the answers you give to the above
questions could determine what treatment you're offered. Unless you really understand how a clinic works it's hard
to understand the consultation process but I'll go through all that in later features.
Time and time again I have seen people spend too much time trying to convince themselves that all
is ok. What they don't realise is that all the while their hair will still fall out. I can't stress enough that as
soon as you notice your hair thinning, you must move on it. There's no point sitting back and waiting. Even if you
can't afford to splash out a few thousand in one hit for a treatment you can at least afford to splash out about
£35/month for propecia which will prevent any further hair loss.
