Is Stopping Hair Loss Expensive?
I'm often asked if stopping hair loss through various hair loss treatments is expensive. The simple
answer is it can be as expensive as you want it to be. Meaning, there are so many different treatments out
there that it really is up to you how much you want to spend and how good a treatment you want to sign up
for.
There's no easy answer to this because it will vary from one person to the next depending on how far along
they are in losing their hair. A guide you should use is, the more hair you've lost, the more expensive the
treatment could potentially be. For example, if a bald man wanted his hair back his only options would be a
wig or hair system, or surgery, which could cost anywhere up to £15,000
(scalp reduction) to get a full head of
hair. If on the other hand you've only just started to thin out then you could just buy something like
regaine foam to help re-grow the hair you've lost
while insuring you don't use any more. The foam will cost around £100 for a six month supply. A lot
cheaper than £15,000. Some might want something a little more up scale like Laser Therapy but that would cost anywhere from £1000 -
£2000 for six months and personally, I don't see the point when the foam carries a higher probability of
re-growing your hair than laser does and at a fraction of the cost.
If you find yourself in a position where you need a hair system then don't go for the first price you're
quoted. As I've said numerous times before, hair loss clinics are in the business of sales so you'll be
quoted top price but it isn't impossible to haggle the price down a little. It's also well worth noting that
different clinics have different ways of charging. Advanced Hair Studio, for example, will charge you around £3000 for the hair system and then
£54/month to have it taken off, cleaned and replaced. HTI
Europe on the other hand (based in Belfast) offers a system for aroud £50month with no other payments
and that also covers the taking off and cleaning once a month.
