SALES TACTICS OF HAIR LOSS CLINICS
First and foremost you should know that a hair loss clinic has to make money in order to survive.
They don't get government grants for research. They fund all their own research and have to somehow make that money
back plus profit.
So how do they do this?
The answer is simple. They sell their treatments to you along with their products. The products are either their
own brand or bought in bulk and sold at profit.
Does this mean that the products and treatments are just their for them to make money and that they don't work
nearly as good as they say they do? No. A clinic relies on an undented reputation. It's the only way they can
survive. If you get one client after another complaining that the clinic is no good and that they're
only out to make a quick buck then it's obvious what's going to happen. They'd be treated just like any other
business out there today. Like I said they spend a lot of money doing research and have to reply on the good
service in their clinics to the great results of treatments to make that money back and then some. You'd be
surprised how much business a clinic can get from word of mouth alone.
So what does this mean for you?
It simply means that the majority of the time you are in the driving seat. They have to convince you that a
treatment works and then they have to convince you to sign up for that treatment. One of the major factors in
stopping the client signing up is price. What you need to remember is that nine times out of ten a clinic will
quote you the dearest price (or book price) only so they have room to discount or bring the price down should you
ultimately decide not to sign up.
Most clinics will not call is discount though. Maybe a past client signed up and subsequently changed their mind
losing their deposit. That 'deposit' will be taken off your bill. Of course there was no client in the first place.
Just a way take money off the bill without calling it discount.
Not all clinics are like this. Some, when it comes to pricing, are very good and you won't need to bargain with
them. All clinics have different methods of charging their customers, some better than others. You can try your
hand at getting money off. A lot of people do it and you'd surprised at how much money you can save.
